For over five decades, he has seamlessly integrated his professional practice with public service, earning recognition for his dedicated commitment to the legal profession.
His professional career has focused on the insurance sector, where he has been involved in advocating for the principles of the insurance industry. Additionally, he has served as counsel or consultant in cases involving constitutional, administrative, municipal, banking, and intellectual property law.
He has also served as an arbitrator for the Arbitration and Mediation Centers of the Quito Chamber of Commerce and the Ecuadorian American Chamber of Commerce. He was awarded the gold medal for Legal Merit ‘Antonio Quevedo’ by the Board of Directors of the Quito Chamber of Commerce.
In the public sphere, he has served as a councilor for the municipality of Quito, a member of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal, a deputy to the National Congress for the province of Pichincha, and legal advisor to the Institute of Foreign Trade and Integration, representing the entity in several meetings of the Andean Community.
He holds a law degree and a doctorate in Jurisprudence from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, as well as expertise in Local Administration from the Institute of Local Administration of Spain.
